Spot templated and copy-paste applications

When one role draws two hundred applications, some of them were sent to two hundred roles. JobQuisitor marks the CVs that read like a template, so you know which ones to look at harder before you spend an interview on them.

No card needed. Hosted in the EU.

How it works

  1. 1

    Upload the CVs

PDF or DOCX, as many as the role drew. Every CV gets the same check; there is nothing to switch on.

  2. 2

Each CV is read for template signals

Generic phrases such as “proven ability” or “committed to”, the same sentence structure in every section, accomplishments with no numbers, and a layout where every section has the same shape.

  3. 3

    Flagged candidates are marked

Above the threshold, the candidate carries a “Check originality” marker next to their match.

  4. 4

    Verify in the interview

Opening the marker shows what to look for and what to ask: specifics about their own past work, a walk-through of something they built or sold.

What you get

Know which CVs to read twice.

The marker tells you which polished-looking CVs say little about the person. You decide what to do with that.

Interview time on people who wrote for your role.

Check the flagged candidates before you book a call, instead of discovering in the call that the CV was generic.

Nothing rejected behind your back.

A flag is a prompt to verify, not a verdict. Flagged candidates stay on the list with their match score.

Part of the same screen.

The check runs on every CV you upload, alongside the match score, strengths and skill gaps. No separate tool, no extra cost.

Common questions

JobQuisitor checks every CV it screens for the signs of a templated application, such as generic buzzwords, uniform sentence structure, accomplishments with no figures and a template-like layout, and marks the candidates who show them with “Check originality”. The check is included in every plan, from €29 a month.

Look for phrases that fit any job, sections that all read the same, and claims without a number, a product or a name attached. Then ask the candidate to walk you through one of those claims. JobQuisitor does the first part on every CV and tells you which candidates to ask.

No. The flag is a prompt to verify in the interview. Flagged candidates keep their match score and stay on the shortlist; the recruiter decides.

It checks CVs. Upload the CV that came with the application; a separate cover letter is not analysed today.
