Methods that work with or without software, written for recruiters and small HR teams.
A practical method for screening a large pile of CVs for one role: agree three to five must-haves first, run a fast knock-out pass, score the survivors against the same scorecard with evidence, and shortlist five to eight with one line of reasoning each. Done this way, 200 CVs fit into an afternoon.
How recruiters can tell a templated or copy-paste application from one written for the role: phrases that fit any job, claims with no numbers or names, the same sentence shape in every bullet, and skills copied from the ad. Treat the signs as a reason to ask, not to reject, and verify them in a short screening call.
